![]() I would also like to stress that no 'secret' connections to your device are possible with TeamViewer: Any incoming connection will open a panel in the lower right-hand corner of your screen, which will show the ID/name of the person connecting and also allow. Would be a shame if I ever wanted to enable remote assistance I guess. As you can see, there are plenty of options to make your TeamViewer connections secure. No restart required.Īfter this, Remote Desktop worked normally. The solution for me was to disable Remote Assistance in Advanced System Properties / Settings -> Remote tab. Apparently if you disconnect while this message is shown, remote desktop will stop working until restart if you are affeted by a particular bug.Īfter going to Group Policy (start, run, gpedit.msc) and enabling Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> "Display highly detailed status messages", the error read "Please Wait for the Local Session Manager" instead of just "Please wait". Restarting would make it work temporarily. ![]() The symptom was simply "Please Wait" showing for several seconds when starting the computer, switching users, or connecting via Remote Desktop. The system restore point I needed was already deleted. Uninstalling the virus scanners didn't help, nor did disabling all services with msconfig. This installs a Windows Service so you can access the computer without being logged in / starting Teamviewer. I tried it with ctrl but that didnt work too. After installing several virus scanning applications (including Sophos, which seems to be known to cause this) on a recently infected computer, remote desktop connections took forever and sometimes never connected at all. You can set teamviewer up for unattended access. Here is a video where you can see that rainmeter is not starting. I did everything but that changes nothing. Please come back and post which is it, then we'll see what can we do.īalala wrote: ↑ November 7th, 2020, 7:02 am As of today, I am also having this same issue, I urgently need to remote into a system at another location and now cannot do so. If it does, you found the skin which is causing the trouble. ![]() When loading certain of those skins (the culprit one), Rainmeter probably will hang on. When loading any, wait a minute or two, to make sure it is working well. If it indeed has started, you can start loading the skins of the Big Sur package one at a time (if you know which ones had you have loaded, load those). This way Rainmeter loads the default illustro skins, which most probably will let it to start normally. Rainmeter Safe Start dialog appears, asking if you want to start Rainmeter in "safe mode". I downloaded the last version 64 bit on Windows 10. Passegua Posts: 5 January 16 edited January 17 in General questions. Teamviewer not starting anymore on Windows10. Home Support Forum TeamViewer Remote General questions. What I recommend is to launch Rainmeter by keeping hold Ctrl key. When I try to start Teamviewer a white window opens for a second and close immediately after. Most propbably one which is using the included Backlight plugin, but not basolutely necessary. If you have loaded any, I suppose one of those skins is hanging on Rainmeter. Hope someone can help me :/īesides eclectic-tech's reply, I suppose you've loaded some skins from that package, because the package indeed has no "theme" (in Rainmeter this is called layout, not theme), as eclectic-tech said. I tried starting as administrator ,installed a older version of rainmeter ,restarted my Computer ,searched for Windows Updates (installed the 10/2020 update) ,but that didnt help. I installed Rainmeter ,downloaded a theme and installed it ,but when i try to start rainmeter to apply the theme it wont start. TweezY wrote: ↑ November 7th, 2020, 2:58 am
